Gary Kasmirski MBA, CRPC 

Regional Vice President, Retirement Consultant (RVP-RC) Gary Kasmirski of Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC markets products offered by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz). Planning for retirement today is different than it used to be. Gary, with over 24 years of financial services industry experience, guides financial professionals in creating retirement strategies that help clients meet their long term financial objectives, in a variety of market conditions. 

Gary has been with Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC for over 17 years. Prior to joining Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC, Gary specialized in sales and marketing at Fortis Financial Group. Gary graduated with honors from the University of St. Thomas with a master’s degree in marketing, and also earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Thomas. He has his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation and hols Series 6, 7, 726, and 63 securities registrations. Gary is a certified insurance CE instructor in IA, MN, ND, SD, and WI. In his free time, Gary is an avid golfer, sports fan, and hunter. He resides in Stillwater, Minnesota with his wife Monica and their children Oriana, Matthew, and Grace.

Individual Tax Update

Attendees will learn a general understanding of how the federal 1040 tax return works and how to apply some specific information to start conversations with clients. The presenter will educate the attendee on the latest government administration proposals concerning potential tax rates, deductions and exemptions and their limitations, capital gains tax rates and how they are applied to the federal return. The attendees will hear instruction on what the net investment income tax is and how it is applied to the federal tax return. The attendees will hear about estate and gift tax issues and what changes may occur under the Trump administration. Attendees will learn from the presenter what to look for in the federal tax return that would indicate life insurance, estate, and retirement planning needs and how to ask appropriate questions to start conversations with clients about these topics of interest.

Mark Thompson CPA, Anfinson Thompson & Company, P.A.

Mark Thompson has worked in the accounting field since 1989, and attained his CPA license in 1991.  He has practiced in Starbuck since 1993 when he went into partnership with Steve Dinsmore.  There he practiced at Dinsmore and Thompson Accounting until 2004, when Steve retired.  At that time, he then merged the practice with Anfinson and Riley in Willmar, and became Anfinson, Riley and Thompson.  In 2006 DuWayne Riley left the firm and the name was changed Anfinson Thompson & Company, P.A.  In 2016 Mark sold his partnership interest and has continued to work for Anfinson Thompson & Company.  Since 1990 Mark has primarily worked with individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates.  Many of the clients he works are with several farmers and small businesses in tax planning and preparation.

CE Credits

Attendees will receive 3 MN Insurance CE Credits for attending this meeting. You will need to provide your license number in order to receive credit. Credits are currently pending.
