2019 Summit for Insurance and Financial Advisors

The Alliance of Professional Associations (APA) is a collaborative effort of Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters, NAIFA Minnesota, Society of Financial Service Professionals – Twin Cities, Women in Financial Services - Minnesota and Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counsellors. These organizations jointly host education and professional networking events.

Jonah Stillman— Keynote Speaker ● Author ● Generations Expert at GenZGuru ● Educating the Workplace + Marketplace on Gen Z

Jonah StillmanJonah Stillman graduated from high school in 2017 and is pursuing a life as an entrepreneur. He has already shared his insights with a variety of companies and industries as well as contributed to stories about Gen Z with MSNBC, CBS, and Fast Company. Jonah is a nationally ranked alpine snowboarder and has served as an ambassador for the international nonprofit WE, traveling to Kenya and Ecuador to build schools.

Jonah and a team of peers conducted one of the first national surveys about Gen Z’s attitudes towards the workplace. The eye-opening results ignited Jonah’s interest in keeping the dialogue going. He is excited to be the voice of his generation and offer companies and organizations a heads-up about our next generation gaps.


Bob Pokorski— Vice President & Medical Director, Individual Life Insurance at Prudential Financial

Bob PokorskiAs Vice President & Medical Director, Dr. Robert Pokorski helps financial advisors, their clients, and consumers better understand the health issues they need to consider when creating or reviewing a retirement plan.

Dr. Pokorski is an internationally-renowned lecturer and author. He has travelled the country giving presentations on health- related topics such as the non-financial shocks that can threaten retirement security. These shocks include being forced to retire early, high out-of-pocket medical expenses later in life, long-term care, widowhood, and living longer than expected.

Dr. Pokorski is certified by the Board of Insurance Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He holds an MBA from Heriot- Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and a Doctor of Medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.

Author of more than 150 medical and insurance articles, Dr. Pokorski has published papers in Nature, Cancer, and the Journal of Financial Service Professionals. He has also delivered more than a thousand presentations to audiences worldwide. He has also served on the editorial boards of the North American Actuarial Journal and The Journal of Insurance Medicine.

Prior to joining The Prudential Insurance Company of America located in Newark, NJ, Dr. Pokorski worked for The Hartford, where he was the first Chief Medical Strategist in the company’s 200-year history.
